When you want to get out, but you don't want to get out.

This weekend my brother in law Forrest purchased a new 4x4. He bought a built up Geo Tracker and it defiantly proved itself on the drive home from Salt Lake City. We got caught up in a crazy snow storm, lots of accidents and at one point traffic stopped and the snow didn't. One of our goals is to head out to Moab sometime this year together and run some beginner to intermediate trails. Before we can do that we decided that its a must for him to get comfortable with his 4x4 before we head out. Which is perfect cause I'm always looking for excuses to hit the trails. With the weather still being kinda nasty an outing like this is perfect. We get to go out and enjoy the outdoors, but from the comfort and warmth of our vehicles. We decided that we would explore the 2,000 flushes and 3Peaks area out west of Cedar. Bring on the MUD.

Forrest's ride, I think she may be called Big Blue, in memory of Little Blue.

Nova poses in front of 2,000 flushes. I guess back in the day when they were mining here they hit an underground well. They had to evacuate very quickly so all the equipment is still down there, scuba anyone?

Kinda shocking to find water in a hole this size in the middle of nowhere.

A mini wheel stand on the way out. You can get there without 4x4, we just choose to find the hardest route there.

At 3peaks we found a nice little muddy climb.
Atticus waiting at the top of the hill, guess what he's doing? Boys will be boys.
When we are on the trail the dogs run, which means they are nice and tired at home.
Another steep climb, all in practice for Moab.
